With Christmas just around the corner, I’m sharing my styled dinner table for this year! My husband and I are hosting both Christmas Eve & Christmas Day with our families. It’s our first Christmas in our new house, and I strive to be the hostess with the mostess especially when it comes to styling. I went to the dark side, and I could not be more excited about it.
My goal is always to keep things simple [less is more], modern, non-traditional, and organic. I opted for gold, black & pastel green with a touch of white as the main color scheme. Candles are my absolute go-to for any table. To keep things interesting, I went with black candles [a little dark I know, but I like] and a black candelabra. This piece centers the table and was my starting point for styling. Around the candelabra, I covered the center of the table with some greens – fake greens actually. I usually like real all the way, but these looked as real as they come [and they will last forever]. Placed throughout the greenery, I added a few variations of tea candles. The geometric candles holders add a modern touch to the table as well.
Keeping with the theme, I wanted to keep things dark with black placemats and matte black dinnerware. The gold flatware tie in nicely and really pop against the black. For napkins, I went with white and tied them together with a little twine and eucalyptus. It’s all the details my friends!
